Using My Imagination

By: Publius in War on Terror, Gulf War II, Liberals on 8:13 am

It would seem as though our friend, RadicalRuss, over at Pam’s House Blend has quite an interesting take on the recent “peace” offering made by Osama bin Laden. Predictably, RadicalRuss shares the perspective and viewpoint of what has been a growing sentiment of our ideological counterparts. Since 9/11, it seems as if every time that bin Laden takes to the media to communicate with his followers; somehow it perceivably benefits President Bush. This has spawned the thesis that Bush somehow is behind these communications or, in the least, interconnected with them. However, we find the RadicalRuss wishing to have the best of both worlds in his assertions, for instead of proclaiming what is a growing theory of many “mainstream” liberals, he stops short by stating that he does not want to “suggest” such. Adam, over at Adam’s Blog, does a thorough job of debunking this statement. This statement is of the same feather as the proclamation: “We support the Troops, but abhor the War!” which has always been an enigma to your humble pundit. It is unfathomable how liberals attempt to fuse diametrically opposed positions in order to to attempt triangulation.

Per example, RadicalRuss opines,

That’s something I’ve been warning people about, which is that their culture measures battles and grudges in generations and centuries, not months and years. What better return on investment could Bin Laden get for his money than to launch a cheap but devastating attack every five years or so that causes us in reaction to spend $100,000,000,000 a year and shed our civil liberties? A cynic might think that the lesson the CIA taught this terrorist mastermind on how to mount a long-term guerrilla (sic) war in order to bankrupt a super power from the outside and rot its politics from the inside was learned very well.

Personally, your humble pundit cannot fathom the numerous conspiracy theories that are bantered about by the left and its progeny. Here, we have yet another example of the cynical minded charlatans we must deal with as we attempt to preserve this great nation. RadicalRuss is promulgating the illusion that the bin Laden learned all of his tactics from the CIA. What is served by such outlandish, careless thought? For us, it serves as an relevation of how the liberal mind works, and that is to show that the masses cannot think for themselves. RadicalRuss alludes to the assertion that we are living in some sort of Orwellian society due to the Bush Administration, all the while the tactics of Newspeak are being utilized throughout his entire article. The dispersal of such disinformation and conspiracy theories to those willing to accept it is careless when their is emanations of fact to be grouped with such statements. What is ‘clever’ about these postulations, is that many of them are so transparent they are easily forgotten. With no basis in reality, the common individual will cast it aside. Did we not incessantly hear the banner “No blood for Oil” leading up to Gulf War II, and this banner has since waned with the skyrocketing oil prices. But, what is your humble pundit thinking, lest I forget, Hurricane Katrina was brought to wreck havoc on the Gulf Coast to divert concern over Bush’s policies, and, more importantly, it served to cover this interest.

It is somewhat easy to think like a leftist if you put your mind to it. There are excuses for any and everything, as long as you use your imagination.

UPDATE -
Alexandra, over at All Things Beautiful observed this gem of a quote from John Kerry.

There’s something that doesn’t sit right with me when, on the day Osama Bin Laden resurfaced in a disturbing audio tape, cable television ends up in a game of name calling as a war protester is compared to Osama Bin Laden.
That’s reason to be outraged.
